Anyone proclaiming that “Hip Hop is dead” should reevaluate their stance by taking a listen to the rhymes of Rockie Fresh. Repping a city whose musical culture is as diverse and soulful as any, this young Chicago Hip Hop artist is exploding onto the scene with tremendous force. Officially beginning his rap career in 2007 and now recording his soon to be released “Rockie’s Modern Life” mixtape, many close to Rockie say that he was born a natural lyricist. At an early age, he took to an eclectic mix of music, listening to the Beatles, Jay Z, Hendrix, Biggie, and many others far and wide.
